The market also aims to provide nutrition education opportunities, family activities, and support for local nonprofit organizations.
The marker operates on the third Sunday of each month from July through October from 12-4pm.
The Schenectady Greenmarket
Located just a short drive from downtown Albany,– the Schenectady Greenmarket operates outdoors from April-November at the Schenectady City Hall and indoors from December-April at Proctors Theatre.
The Schenectady Greenmarket is one of the most popular farmers’ markets in the Capital District, and for a good reason! Here, you’ll find over 80 vendors each Sunday from 10am-2pm offering fresh, local produce and products.
The Empire State Plaza
The Empire State Plaza Another year-round market, The Empire State Plaza Farmers’ Market operates outdoors at the Empire State Plaza from May-October and indoors at the Empire State Plaza Indoor Concourse from October-April on Wednesdays from 10am-2pm.
Washington Park Farmers’ Market
One of the newer farmers’ markets in the area, the Washington Park Farmers’ Market operates Saturday in July-September from 10AM – 2PM in Washington Park in downtown Albany. A bonus of this market is that each week free yoga is offered from 9-10am by The Hot Yoga Spot!
Troy Waterfront Farmers’ Market
Another short drive from downtown Albany is the Troy Waterfront Farmers’ Market. This year-round market can be found at Monument Square from May-November and indoors at the Troy Atrium from December-April on Saturdays from 9am-2pm.
This gorgeous market is most popular during the summer months when locals can hardly resist visiting the Hudson River for fresh goods, and producer-only homeware, clothing, decor, and more.
