Albany Tulip Festival
Albany Tulip FestivalA long-standing tradition, the Albany Tulip Festival takes place in Mid-May when the blooms are at their most beautiful. Each year, the festival draws thousands to Washington Park in downtown Albany to enjoy over 100,000 tulips in 150+ varieties. Plus, live music, food and drink, and arts and crafts.
To kick off the festival, a traditional Dutch ceremony of scrubbing the streets takes place, highlighting the rich Dutch heritage of the area. Following the street scrubbing is a procession that includes the Tulip Queen finalists. The winner of which will be crowned over the festival weekend and receive a $5,000 scholarship!
The best part of the festival? It’s just a short walk away from Abraxas at 90 State Street!

This popular festival features dozens of local breweries pouring hundreds of their best brews. Along with sampling IPAs, stouts, and sours, festival-goers can also enjoy food from some of Albany’s best eateries, live music, and more.
